I’d like to make you aware of a new series of books that explain economics and the philosophy of Liberty to children. The series is called the Tuttle Twins written by Connor Boyack and illustrated by Elijah Stanfield. Each book in the series takes a classic book or essay and retells it in the form of a child friendly story with illustrations. Currently there are 3 books titled:
- The Tuttle Twins Learn About The Law
- The Tuttle Twins and the Miraculous Pencil
- The Tuttle Twins and the Creature from Jekyll Island
The first book presents ideas of liberty as a story based on Frederic Bastiat’s essay, “The Law”. The second teaches the importance of the division of labor and a market economy by presenting Leonard Reeds’ essay, “I, Pencil”. The third is a story about the creation of the Federal Reserve based on G. Edward Griffin’s book, The Creature from Jekyll Island. Samples of the books can be found at the Tuttle Twins website. Currently, there is a special promotion if you wish to purchase all three at once. Otherwise, they are affordable at $10 each.
I you would like to hear an interview with the author, Connor Boyack, check out these two episodes of the Tom Woods Show.
